Convergence
One very popular theory explains the “Star of Bethlehem” as an unexpected convergence of celestial bodies that itself converged with the most consequential event in the history of humankind. Its appearance ushered in a new era, which continues to this very day.
As a final punctuation to rare convergences of 2024, Christmas and the first day of Hanukkah both fell on the same day, which has not occurred for four decades. There is value in taking time to appreciate what is rare.
Perhaps the unusual convergence of circumstances in 2024 should have us casting our eyes to the heavens once again--that Star may come again to punctuate the arrival of a new world-wide political era.
Years of political, media and legal persecution aimed at destroying a presidential candidate backfired, causing an impressive majority of Americans to converge politically in a way as unexpected and historically unique as the Star of Bethlehem.
Hispanics, Blacks, Asians and Whites; Republicans, Democrats and Independents; rich, poor and middle class; even business, political and cultural icons as diverse as Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Junior, Hulk Hogan, Lil Wayne, Joe Rogan and more; ALL, generally natural political enemies, converged in support of a single candidate.
Agree or disagree, like it or not, a new era of American politics has arrived as a result of this convergence.
And America is not alone, as Argentina, Canada, Sweden, even Syria and many more undergo similar political upheaval and realignment.
Any patriot, any decent human being--regardless of political perspective--hopes and prays this new era will turn out well for all citizens of the world. There will be enormous challenges and vigorous philosophical battles, but as we emerge into a new year from the traditional year-end season of peace, hope and good will toward all, we converge in that desire.
For EIPCa, many 2024 events surrounding our lawsuits and our election observations efforts converged to leave us enthusiastic and optimistic that 2025 will reward our 14 years of effort and sacrifice, and provide us--and all Californians--much to celebrate.
Election Integrity is a topic of great interest and concern to every American. Since 2020, many groups have sprung up around the country to focus on the topic, and other more established organizations have taken up the integrity banner as an adjunct to their other important work.
In California, EIPCa was the lone election integrity organization for ten years. Since 2020, we have been joined in the arena by a multitude of organizations, each different in focus, scope, mission and approach.
EIPCa welcomes them all.
The effort to restore election integrity in California is a multi-front struggle requiring many approaches carried out by thousands of patriots.
Sadly, it has become common for some of these groups to form a circular firing squad, denigrating any effort other than their own, and in many cases severely wounding those whom they should be lifting up and supporting as colleagues.
As we reach this momentous time in history, EIPCa is once again in the cross-hairs of those who feel the need to compete with us by attacking and accusing our organization of “doing nothing”. Regardless of what anyone may say, EIPCa begins year 15 with confidence engendered by our undeniable successes. We are closer than ever before in our effort to ensure Constitutional governance in California by restoring an election system that can be trusted.
Let us, in observance of the encouraging signs revealed at the close of 2024, converge in our journey toward integrity, lift each effort up for blessing, and recognize our common cause.
For the sake of this state and nation, let us converge as one people --rich and poor; White and Of Color; Democrat and Republican; Christian, Jew, Muslim, atheist and other. Let us bury the mistrust that breeds conflict, and focus on the very humanness, the very American-ness, that unites us all.
Look to the skies. Maybe it’s not drones! Maybe the Star has appeared once again.
God Bless Us, Every One.
A Franciscan Benediction (chapter 4)
May God bless you with…
…enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world
…so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.
